Singer Angaraag Papon Mahanta has announced the release of a new song titled “Baarixare Baan,” created to reflect the pain, emotions, and strength of Assam amid recurring monsoon flood disasters. Describing the project as a collective effort born out of shared hope for the region, Papon emphasized that the song seeks to highlight both the community's suffering and its enduring spirit.
Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal has also lent her voice to the track, amplifying its reach and message. Papon confirmed that 100% of the revenue generated from "Baarixare Baan" will be directed toward rehabilitation efforts and restoring livelihoods for families impacted by the severe floods of July 19, 2026.
"May we heal soon. May we rebuild stronger. And may we find a way forward, together," Papon shared, stressing the need for collective action to find lasting solutions for the state.
