The ‘Kisan Bachao Padyatra’ will commence on August 16, with Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) National Co-convener Kurubur Shanthakumar announcing the event. The march will be led by veteran farmers’ leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal and aims to bring farmers’ pressing demands directly to the national capital.
