- Dipke also encouraged supporters unable to reach Delhi to organize local 'Tiranga marches' in their respective cities.
Escalating tensions between civic activists and law enforcement, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has issued a public call for a mass demonstration at Central Park in Delhi's Connaught Place on Friday, October 16, 2026.
The mobilization call comes in direct response to the five-day judicial custody imposed on CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. The two leaders were detained and later remanded to Tihar Jail after bypassing security barricades at Jantar Mantar to wave the national flag and demand accountability from the Election Commission.
"As you know, Saurav and Ashu have been jailed only for unfurling the tricolour," Dipke stated on social media. "I urge all patriots who love the tricolour to come to Central Park, Connaught Place at 5 pm on October 16 with the national flag. We will show that waving a tiranga is not a crime."
Dipke further appealed to supporters outside the capital to hold concurrent evening rallies and 'Tiranga marches' in their respective cities. Acknowledging the high likelihood of facing personal detention by law enforcement, Dipke maintained that he remains unfazed by potential police action. Delhi Police have heightened security across central districts in anticipation of the planned gathering.
