Hundreds of people participated in the Tiranga Yatra held in the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Organized under the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' movement, the rally also marked the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram.
Addressing participants in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha described the tricolor as the "living embodiment of India’s consciousness and pride". He emphasized that the Yatra sends a clear message that India must never stop progressing and should continually move forward.
