At Delhi Airport, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) intercepted ₹68.53 lakh in unaccounted cash from two passengers headed to Guwahati. The duo was scheduled to continue their journey to Agartala. Authorities noted that carrying such large sums of unreported money is a violation of currency regulations.
After the seizure, the CISF officially handed over the individuals and the cash to Income Tax Department officials for further investigation. The department will conduct necessary inquiries to determine the sources and intended use of the money.
