🎵🇮🇳 A ukulele, satire and a serious message from Arunachal Pradesh.
A local resident from Arunachal Pradesh has drawn attention online with a satirical musical performance highlighting concerns about border security and safety in the region.
The video comes amid a wider controversy over allegations of Chinese activity near the India-China border in Upper Subansiri district. The Nah Welfare Society, a community organisation from Taksing, had earlier alleged that Chinese forces had established infrastructure and camps in areas it considers Indian territory.
However, these allegations have not been established as fact. The Indian Army rejected reports of recent Chinese encroachment in Arunachal Pradesh, calling them “incorrect and without any basis.”
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has also recently rejected reports of a fresh Chinese incursion and said the Army is effectively safeguarding the state's territory.
The viral performance therefore raises a broader question: How do people living in sensitive border regions perceive their security, and how can their concerns be addressed through verified information and timely action?
